About SweCROPT

SweCROPT’s aims and structure

The Swedish Consortium for Research on Organised Prostate Cancer Testing (SweCROPT) was formed in 2022 to co-ordinariate Swedish OPT related research. Its aims are:

  • To be a forum for scientific ideas and experiences related to OPT research
  • To facilitate national studies with better statistical power than regional studies
  • To facilitate studies comparing diagnostic outcomes of regional OPT variants
  • To prevent parallel studies of similar research questions by different research groups

SweCROPT is open to all researchers and doctoral students who are engaged in research directly related to the Swedish regional OPT projects. The SweCROPT network has six working groups (WGs) representing different areas of OPT research. Each WG is led by a co-ordinator. They arrange WG-specific meetings for planning and executing research. SweCROPT also arranges national meetings to discuss recent research results and to facilitate creative interaction between researchers from different research disciplines and environments.

Chairman: Ola Bratt, Professor of Clinical Cancer Epidemiology, University of Gothenburg.
